Terms of Service

Last updated: March 4, 2026

By using SRS Viewer ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Use of the Service

SRS Viewer is a live streaming platform. You may use it to broadcast and watch live video streams. The Service is provided by the instance operator and may be self-hosted.

You agree not to:

  • Stream content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service
  • Use the Service for any unauthorized or unlawful purpose
  • Impersonate other users or misrepresent your identity
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or flood the Service

Accounts

If authentication is enabled, you are responsible for keeping your account credentials and stream key secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account, including any streams published using your stream key.

Stream keys can be regenerated from your profile if compromised.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including revoking streaming permissions.

Streaming

Streams are transmitted in real time and are not recorded by the Service. You are solely responsible for the content of your streams.

The Service may provide on-demand transcoding of your stream into lower quality variants for viewers. This processing is temporary and no copies are retained.

Chat

If chat is enabled, you agree to:

  • Not send spam, excessive messages, or disruptive content
  • Respect other users and moderators
  • Not attempt to bypass rate limits, slow mode, or bans

Chat messages are subject to moderation. Administrators and stream owners can delete messages, set slow mode, and ban users from chat. Messages are automatically deleted after 7 days.

Moderation

Administrators have the ability to:

  • Delete chat messages
  • Ban or unban users from chat (globally or per channel)
  • Enable slow mode on chat channels
  • Manage user accounts and streaming permissions

Moderation actions are logged. Abuse of moderation powers should be reported to the instance operator.

Content

You retain ownership of any content you stream or post in chat. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to transmit and display your content to other users in real time.

We do not monitor all streams or chat messages in real time, but we reserve the right to remove content, disable streams, or restrict accounts that violate these terms.

Third-Party Integrations

The Service may be used through third-party platforms such as Discord via embedded activities. When using these integrations, the third party's terms of service also apply. Your use of the Service through these platforms does not exempt you from these terms.

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect and how it is used.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. Stream quality and availability depend on network conditions and server capacity.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, stream interruptions, or unauthorized access to your account.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Data retention periods described in the Privacy Policy still apply.

Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
